Hello, I´m i guy from Germany East Westfalica between Hannover and Dortmund if someone is interested it I´m playing my just finished DIY-set with a TD 8 and i´m going to change my lineup to DDrum4 SE 1.54 + TD8 (just Cymbals, HiHat and Effects. I´m planning to set all in a 19" L-Rack with a 16 Channel Yamaha-Mixer with a Multicore and an Stagebox on the Rack (so you can call it "Drumbox" ) Also I´m going to purchase 38 mm Aluminium Tubes (nearly 1,5") to anodize it in black. I´ll hope to make many experience here by discussing many things about the best Drumsystem ever. Theo

Welcome to the forum Theo . Sounds like an interesting set-up you're putting together . I also use a ddrum4SE module for my cymbals on my kit , and it has been working very well . I noticed the KitToy cymbals in your set up . I have 2 ( 8" ) splashes and a ( 13" ) china on my kit and they match up really nice with my Smartrigger's . The triggering on the KT's is spot on and they work very well with the ddrum4 module . Looking forward to seeing newer pictures and details as you get the upgrades done . That black anodized rack system sounds like it would be really nice too . sam(otacon28)

Hi Sam, this Kittoys are not that bad, but not the Top of E-Cymbals, think I will try a DIY -Project with E-Cymbals... I´ve 2 pc 14" crashes, 2pc 14" china, a 12" HiHat with a really great Hotspot and a 12" china Splash. I would like too play the whole kit with DDrum4 but the HiHat is too expensive at the Moment. May be my Uncle, who is physic-teacher at a school in Duesseldorf will buld me a DIY-electronic with a magnet for the Hi Hat... Theo p.S. sorry for my basic-English, my last lesson is over 20 years ago

Theo p.S. sorry for my basic-English, my last lesson is over 20 years ago Jman a member over on the vdrum forum has a nice DIY A-to-E conversion for doing electronic cymbals from real cymbals , but I'm not sure how well they work with ddrum modules . I've been having overall a really good experience with the Smartrigger e-cymbals on my kit . I get some really nice effect out of the 3-zone ride ( depends on the sample ) but I get some very acoustical elements coming out through the samples I'm using with it and my SE module . The hihat controller does make it tough with the ddrum4 being that nothing else really works with the module as well as the original hi hat controller itself . BTW - Your english is just fine , so don't worry about that to much . ;D sam(otacon28)
