New release ddrum4ui-1.1.1 with the display of the size in blocks for the samples and the whole sound. Useful information to optimize sounds before transfer to the module!
In that occasion, I remind you that the total memory size of the module is 8128 blocks.

Hi Valdu,I put together another cymbal sample w/ddrum4ui-1.1.1 on it's launch (my bday) what a great present, thanks.I tried the sample via sysex library and it sounded little high so I sent it back to the ddrumui by right click/ open with/ and there is ddrum4ui in the option so I sent it back to make it lower pitch/save as to library/ double click to sysex library and then send to module....this is amazing to test it out and have the choice to send it back for more edit, this is a bit long winded but this I can reference if I forget something and was this planned or did I come up with it?-Just kidding guys and thanks again, very cool stuff.

Thank you for the compliments !
There is a new version 1-1-3 which allows you to copy layers within the same sound, which is very practical for programming variations. And you have the colored icons in the toolbar!
I also use ddrum4ui to reduce the size of the sounds I like so I can put more in the module. For example, the TOM_588 sound contains 8 samples, with a little tweaking I obtain almost the same result with only 4 samples, and the size of the sound is reduced from 351 blocks to 175... With a little practice it goes very quickly, you just have to remember to check the Sound_ID before transfer, and then wait while the module loads the sound... this is often the longest part!
I have fun mixing different ddrum sounds by taking a sample from one to put it in the other, and thus obtain new sounds. And I can do it independently of the module thanks to the preview pad.

Are you loading the module thru sysex library or do you go thru ddrum4ui or some other way?

I use SysEx Librarian on Mac, and one time I used Send SX on PC. With Send SX, it's important to uncheck the box "split long messages when sending" in Options/Settings... It took me a while to realize that...

Hi Valdu,is there a way to bring up on a Mac Monterey separate samples from different categories to listen and then without any edit save them for a kit folder?I see a folder and option button on the page and I have brought up like 3 samples but they come up seperately.I like this game alot but I don't know much about folders.thnx

Hi I don't understand exactly what you want to do. Is it in ddrum4ui that you have a problem, or in another software? Because there is no option button in ddrum4ui... When you talk about samples, aren't you talking about sound files, which contain the samples? Thank you for being more detailed in the description of what you want to do.

Hi sorry, there isn't a problem everything works great and yes I mean sound files.I just don't know enough about computers, when I hit open in the ddrum4ui file column it goes to the downloads page in finder and now on that page bottom are 2 click-on tabs one says "new folder" and the other says "option" so I mistaked it as being part of this now,I just don't remember seeing them before. I need to learn more Mac stuff.

OK I understand.
The presence of the Open and New Folder buttons varies depending on the applications on Mac, it depends on how they have been coded to offer more or less functionality to the user. In the case of ddrum4ui, these buttons have no influence on the operation of the software.
I'm taking advantage of this discussion to clarify things about file names:
When you create a sound file, you can name it whatever you want, for example "myfavoritesnaresound.mid", and save it wherever you want on your computer. On the other hand, you must take care of its Sound_ID, which is completely independent and defines where it will be placed in the module's memory after transfer. This is why Clavia named its factory sounds using the Sound_ID information as a prefix, so reading a name allows you to know its location in the module. I encourage you to use this nomenclature rule (e.g. "SNRE_800 myfavoritesnaresound.mid") to avoid confusion.
In ddrum4ui, the Sound_ID is displayed for information at the bottom of the window, and you can modify it using the ID button in the toolbar. A warning message is displayed if the name given to the sound does not match its Sound_ID.
On your computer, you can have several sound files with different names and the same Sound_ID, but you will only be able to transfer one of them to the module.

Yes that warning is a great idea and gives confidence.I have ideas for amazing kits with hand trimmed, tailored made sounds. I am a chef once more-thanks for this!

Alongside the idea of sharing ddrum4ui to the community, there was the idea of sharing new sounds that you are proud of! So don’t hesitate to upload your sound creations!

Sounds can be shared in this thread if they do not exceed 1MB, which is the size limit for attachments. This is the case for most sounds, apart from some cymbal sounds with a lot of samples with a very long resonance.
