Hi all, I recently bought a ddrum 4 SE, SW version 1.5. All worked fine unless I bought an upgrade to version 1.54. Here is what happened: I opened the module and before replacing the old EPROM with the new one, I disconnected the module from power, grounded myself to avoid electrostatic discharge, removed the old one and pushed the new one into the socket (notch to the correct position). After connecting the module to power and switching it on, the diplay showed strange figure and some of the LEDs were on. No reaction at all. I switched in off, pushed the EPROM once again into the socket, swiched it on, same result but now other LEDs were on and different cryptic figure in display. I thought myself that the EPROM might be defective, so I switched it off, disconnected power, grounded myself, removed EPROM and pushed the old one into the socket. After switching it on same result, again different picture of LEDs and display. Now each time I switch it on, i get a different picture, sometimes the trafo is humming a bit more and sometimes no LEDs nor any reaction from the display. Here are the pictures: The person who sold me the upgrade tried to help to identify the root cause. I sent him then EPROM back and he tested his EPROM, but his results show that the EPROM he sent to me is ok. Any thoughts how I could repair my SE? I really would appreciate any kind of help...

Hi. The 1.54 eprom is only for boards with AMD 29F080 Flash chips. - Used from 030820 in ddrum4 with serial number DA 4945 and higher. WARNING! Use version 1.50 for ddrum4 with Intel Flash chips. Best, Deve.
