I've been looking to find a set of .wav files of the Ddrum modules but I can't find them anywhere. The closest I've come is finding that DDrum4 tool where you can load a sample and play it back. I wish I could get some sample sets of the Ddrum3 because that's the one I'm interested in buying and I don't want to shell out $2000 for it just to discover that it isn't for me. Has anyone ever samples these?

What I mean is a sound sample, audio itself so that I can actually hear what the Ddrum3 sounds like. I've heard the Ddrum4 due to the Ddrum4 tool but there's no way to hear the Ddrum3.

There are soundbanks and individual samples (without file extension, but probably midi files) of the Ddrum 3 posted here but is there any way to convert them so I can actually hear them?

Hi I don't really know what the posted dd3 samples are. Like you wrote, no file extension. The "Vintage Library" contains the dd3 samples, found here unofficially-ddrum.proboards.com/thread/9/sample-library-dd4If you check out the dd3 manual, page 3 or something (it's not clearly numbered) you will find a list of the sounds. unofficially-ddrum.proboards.com/thread/7/ddrum-owners-manuals-details-insideNote that the vintage library also contains dd2 samples, refer to the list in the dd3 manual. I don't think the names correspond to 100% though. That said, the original dd3 samples are maybe not very inspiring by todays standards. Some of the kicks are usable, but the rest maybe not so much. Depends on taste of course. The stock samples does not utilize very much of the dd3's potential, they use the filters and the damp feature but if I remember correctly only one of the snares are multi sample. To fully utilize the multi sample feature, one must import ones own samples, which is tedious and very slow, especially via sample dump.

Thanks a lot for the info. There was also a midi to wav sample conversion tool that 2box offered but all of the links are dead for that. I can get to hear it with the Ddrum4 Tool at least.
