I'm using the Chrome elite triggers on the acoustic drums. . Every time I hit the snare, my bass drum gets triggered. I'm going through a vfdrum brain and have set all parameters. I've changed the trigger location multiple times in the bass drum. I have put 4x4x4 foam satiate between the bass and the snare and that seems to have stopped the problem but I can't play like that plus it looks stupid. Then I put the foam on the snare stand and rested the snare on top. .. that works but totally kills the snare sound. ..I want to use the triggers in a live setting combined with miking the kit so I would needed drum tone . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My first thought was Axis e-kits. They trigger from the kick pedal itself, not the bassdrum head, so coupling is eliminated. I have some faint memories that DW released a kick pedal with that feature, but haven't read a word about it in surely 10 years. Other than that - Mesh head on the kick

Have you tried different trigger types? The algorithms used for each trigger type is a little different. By experimenting, you may find that one works better than how you have it set now.
