Does anybody know if the ddrum padstation can trigger the ddrum3 directly via the remote socket which looks like a telephone connector (at least in europe).
The padstation controller box seems to have this kind of socket as well (beside MIDI of course).
I've tried to connect my ddrum performer to the socket but it doesn't work. I assume the ddrum3 is only compatible with the other remote pad (I think it was called RC1?).
Would be nice if the padstation could trigger the ddrum3 because the MIDI-IN is already occupied by the ddrum4 linked to it.

The remote socket was solely intended for the RC-1. The RC-1 only acts as a kit changer.....and a good one at that!

Ah, OK. Thank You.
Do you know for what the socket on the back of the padstation controller was for?

Hey Lite, If I remember correctly, The RC-1 was not exclusive to the ddrum 3. The RC1 was created for earlier ddrum units. Therefore I think it's safe to say the sockets primary intention on any ddrum unit, is to function as a kit change port and nothing more.

I see. Wondering what the padstation manual says about the socket on the rear. But I've never found one. Thank You drumkat, great to have you here! :-) Attachments:

Wow, that looks like an old mac printer jack. I have something very similar looking on my Mac 11 CX. It looks like someone was attempting to mod it. Possibly they were making some kind of crude anphenol connector to connect external pads or something even more devious. Was this connector on all these units or just the one in the picture?

I think they were on all boxes. The padstation has one multi-cable connection to the box. Maybe the socket on this photo was replaced by user as it looks self-made mounted
