I've recently purchased a Ddrum 4 Se module-version 1.54 and can tweak the sounds, volume, decay, etc, but can't make any changes in the 'system' menu. I can send a sysex file and change some of the parameters but can't transer any files (module says full) and can't delete any files. The only thing that I can do in the system menu is reset the p-kits. I can change the kits-instruments, but can't save anything. Someone mentioned a menu lock but couldn't remember the combination of button holds to unlock the unit-I've spent a bit of time trying to crack the code without success. I don't know whether a new OS chip would correct this. I'd have tried to install my 1.50 OS chip but my original 1.4 came up with an err after trying that one (as I expected after readiing the forums here regarding a hardware change that necessitated a slight mod of the OS.) I also sent the original Ddrum 4 se 'mid' factory file, as well as a complete dump of my other Ddrum4 module. Though there were some changes in the system setting-the system menu still can't be accessed. Anybody have any suggestions-I'm all ears-thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not aware of any kind of "Menu Lock" on a ddrum4.
The 1.54 is the latest version of the firmware, so I'm pretty sure it's not because of that.
Assuming that you've read the manual, I would go ahead and try to do a Factory Reset.
That should help clear any wierd settings and take the module back to normal.
Once that's done, I would also go through and delete ALL of the sounds in the unit and reload them - I've seen corrupt sound files do strange things to a module...
