I am not very happy with the response on the pad I am using for snare. I have a chance to pick up some Simmons pads fairly cheap. Can anyone tell me if these might be interchangeable with ddrum and, more importantly, are they any improvement.
Also, I was not aware that there were 2, 3 & 4 models. Has there been an improvement in the sensitivity of these pads and would the newer pads be interchangeable with the dd1?

Ha! After exploring this forum a bit, I realized ddrum actually has some cool stuff out there!
I've been an acoustic drummer for years. I bought this kit mainly as a practice set, but now that I have a little studio set up, I am exploring other possibilities.
