I use DDrums live with real cymbals. The thought has crossed my mind to use e cymbals but not sols on the idea. What do you use?

I don't use my kit live but I do alot of recording with it and I have mostly Smartrigger electronic cymbals on my kit and also a few Kit Toy electronic cymbals also . I run my cymbals through a ddrum4SE module and they work great with it .

For a cymbal upgrade, any recommendations? In Canada can get Hart, Alesis Surge and seen a couple kit toys. Prefer the realistic look. How do you find the Smart trigger cymbal. Looking for a dual zone ride. Thanks.

Hart's seem to work well also . I bought my Smartrigger cymbals awhile ago from a drummer that was selling a set with most of the ones that I have currently on my kit . I did pick up an 18" ride and a few other splashes though . The ones I'm currently running on my kit are (1) 18" ride , (4) 14" crashes , (3) 16" crashes , and (2) 12" splashes . For the hi hat I still use the ddrum4 hi hat controller . I also use (2) 8" Kit Toy splashes and a 13" china . The Kit Toys cymbals trigger really well and are very accurate . Kit Toys are kind of hard to get alot of the times being that the owner of the company makes them and he's been dealing with some health issues over the past few years . He does list them up on ebay when he does have them available though . I've heard alot of people have really good experience with the Kit Toys with various drum modules .

Picked up a 12" and 14" Kit Toy cymbal E Bay today. Saving for a dual zone 16" Hart. Kit Toy products are hard to get, not many available in Canada / U.S.A.
