If you google nord drum you'll get a page that has a music radar review with more pics and a price of I think 399 euros/500.00 usd and will be available in march.

So its a bit of a fail the nord drum, its no ddrum5. Reminds me of Simmons fine tuning days. Would have been better if they had a decent player play the demo tracks. All that excitement for nothing

All that excitement for nothing I guess it all depends on how you look at it though with the Nord Drum unit . Even though it's not a full blown electronic module for a full kit , it still is Nord exploring the market once again for electronic drum offerings from Clavia . I'm wondering if they will make a sound library available on the Nord Drum unit similar to what they have done for ddrum3 and ddrum4 modules where you can delete and load various samples throughout a library of sounds ? Imagine even if they had some quality latin percussion sounds available within the sound banks . I also wonder how this would work with say a Drumkat or a Trapkat multiple trigger unit ? sam(otacon28)

In case you haven't seen this youtu.be/bZt7ZUqzOkcI don't think the unit uses any samples, it's all "virtual analog". Not my cup of tea, but I can assume some drummers of the european indie (or dance) scene could be interested in something like this.
