Hi everyone and happy New Year!- I was wondering about the stand and legs of the bass drum pad.It seems like it should be rock solid but I get a pretty noticeable wobble.Anyone else out there know a remedy?-I'm probably going to run another tube across the front and anchor the top part of the BD pad somehow.I guess what I'm seeking is this a common occurrence because these feel like they could take dynamite and yet I'm getting this really annoying rocking every hit, thanks again for any and all insight,Kenny

I found I get some of this "pad bouncing" effect when I use certain kick pedals. The front part of the pedal doesn't sit flat on the floor and ends up "floating" on just the kick pad legs and the heel of the pedal. This creates a bit of flex where the pedal clamps onto the pad and makes the kick pad bounce. Typically found when using a kick pedal with a full length support plate under it (DW5000 for example)
To get around this when it was really bothersome, I just drove the kick pedal spikes down in order to stop that bounce effect. Other times I ended up shimming something underneath the front part of the pedal to stabilize it.
Another idea would be to put a thin block of hard rubber on the bottom part of there your pedal clamps on to as this would "lower" that part of the pedal in relation to the pad.

Hi Kyrrinstoch, thanks for the feedback, i've been playin around with e few remedies and one hasn't really stood out.I think your idea of maybe using some rubber undrneath might prove worthwhile as you said the pedal base probably has something to do with it,I use the DW5000 also.I might get a pair of different length legs, maybe 12" to 13" might really level it out as these are I think over 14".I looked on Ebay under Bass drum spurs and there are alot of different sizes, shapes, width's very cheap -I'll be in touch-Kenny
