I know this might be a very basic question applying to triggering in general, regardless of which electronic drum set you use, but I'm new to this and would greatly appreciate any help regarding this topic.
How can I trigger sounds from a Korg M3 Synthesizer (and how do I do the MIDI setup/connections, assigning channel etc) using my ddrum4 and is it better to use a tom pad vs snare, hihat or cymbal pad?
Thanks

Hi, I suggest you refer to the manual for the exact MIDI settings, but here's the basic steps; You need a MIDI-cable from ddrum4 MIDI out to M3 MIDI in. The MIDI channel and the MIDI note need to be matched. It doesn't matter which units settings you change as long as they end up matching. Regarding which pad is better - Use the pad you prefer and change the ddrum4's settings accordingly. You didn't mention if you have a pad already, of if it's a different brand, what you are intending to play etc, so it's difficult to give suggestions. PS Please don't start multiple threads regarding the same issue, makes it difficult to answer in the right one! /Krillo
