If anyone can help here i'd really appreciate it... I am using my ddrum 4 se in Asia, and I was using a step-down transformer to go from 220 volts to 110 volts. Something happened...maybe a power surge or something, transformer malfunction, but it zapped my SE. I saw the LED readout doing strange things just before it shut down for good. The fuse seems to be intact but when I plug the SE in and hit the power switch there is no reaction at all. Completely dead. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where to look for the problem? Is it fried? I have opened up the SE and found no obvious evidence of burnout. Thanks in advance for your help. Rob

Is there a ribbon cable from the power supply to the main board, as in the ddrum3? If so disconnect it before attempting to power it up. Check that the power switch still works, could as simple as it got fried, and no power comes through. Then, if you have a multimeter and know how to use it, check that you get the correct voltages from the PS, +12V, +5V and -5V. If you aren't confident in measuring these voltages, leave it to someone who is.
Good luck!
