I know this is a basic question but I am recently new to the drum 4 se. I picked up a used Ddrum 4se and the sounds and patches had all been changed (which I expected) but when I went through the individual drum sounds there were only a few sounds of each (bass drum, snare, etc.). I did a complete system reset and no new sounds showed up. If the previous owner had deleted sounds they are gone right? I have to put those sounds back in the machine? The module doesn't "store" the factory sounds once they are deleted? Thanks far any help.

Once the sounds are deleted by someone they are no longer in the module , but with a midi interface and a PC it's a pretty easy fix to upload the sounds back into the module . If you take a look in the following section : Uploading samples using the M-Audio Uno - 1-In 1-Out USB Bus-Powered MIDI Interface area on the main page of the forum , or at the link below you will find out more about this particular Midi interface that works well for alot of us on here , and you can pick them up online for fairly cheap .
