Thinking of using E cymbals live. In a way, a bit weary of doing so as it may be a compromise in quality of sound. Then again, I will have more control over the volume. Anyone using E cymbals live? What are the compromises? Set up time a bit longer IE: wiring the units. The reason I use DDrums live, 1. sound 2. control over volume 3. convenience ie great monitoring system. If the same applies for cymbals that will be a step ahead. In the looks department I prefer acoustic drums, but .. sorry to say, hate playing acoustic drums, unless they are miced to the hilt with a good soundman with killer monitor system. The reality, I play small rooms 95% of the time, thus e drums rule. Killer sound, killer monitor, great volume control. hate to get away from real cymbals, but hopefully e cymbals live will work as good as the ddrums soundwise. What say you? Thanks

Unfortunately you can only set the MIDI channel globally for all sound channels as stated in the manual:
C1-16 Here you select the MIDI channel that the ddrum4 SE should use for transmission and reception of MIDI data. Select MIDI channel with the ROTARY DIAL.
Only the ddrum3 is capable of handling different MIDI channels for different sounds channels.
