Hi A friend of mine found a ddrum plus module. It has a special power supply slot (see photo) and the owner don't have the cable for a long time. I had a pretty big tour on the web but didn't find something matching. Anyone has an idea where I can find this cable or ordering this to be made ? Beside the slot, anyone knows how it is ? Is it possible (for a skilled man) to replace the original power system by something more "standard" ? Any idea or information ? Thx in advance guys Attachments:

Have you dropped an email to Clavia to see if they might have any information that could help?

I remembered somewhere in the back of my mind that I've seen something about this: flic.kr/p/5j3h4a"Powered with 15VAC 0,4Amps on pins 1 & 4"

Hi guys Sorry to be late, short holidays in the deep fields with no Internet (so REAL holidays !) Thx guys for your answers. I've followed the link you put but it means absolutely nothing to me (I admit I'm a total donkey concerning electric/electronic tech stuffs, except programming) so if you can precise what I must do... What's the date of issue of this module ? I see there's no MIDI ports so it may mean it's very very old, isn't it ? Maybe jut after the 2 first ddrums. I've read too that the module contains only 4 (! !) sounds per channel... that seems very short and there's no possibility of extra storage (memory or cartridges slots). My friend told me that he could buy it a low price (+/- 300 $) with the 5 pads (!) but does it worth the money (quality of sounds, editing possibilities, dynamic, etc.) Is it a real good old drums or is it just for building a collection of old modules ? Thx again for your time and help Ge
P.S I'm still looking for a set of pads being fully compatible with my ddrum3 at a low price. My birthday is coming soon, gifts of that sort accepted lol

The first ddrum product was the "Digital Percussion Plate": Holds one cartridge, i.e 4 sounds, was released in 1984. Product no2 was the ddrum rack: ddrum plus: was released in 1987, here is the manual: files.designer.hoststar.ch/7b/46/7b46312a-4502-4a4c-a428-73bd79983043.pdfddrum rack / plus consists of up to 8 sound modules, and a combined power / mixer module. Each sound module can contain 4 sounds and have their own audio output (XLR). The sounds are located on soundcartridges that are inserted into the back of the soundmodule. I won't go into details about building a power supply, since I assume you won't be interested in building one from scratch. After this the ddrum2 in 1989 ddrum AT in 1992 ddrum3 in 1994 ddrum4 ddrum4SE in 2001 completed the product history of clavia ddrum.

Hi everyone ! Thanks a lot Krillo for your knowledge and your willing to share it (as others "masters" here). About one previous advice, I've written to Clavia about the cable ; I'm not one of their client (when you don't pay, you get nothing) but they could have answered something, i.e "Sorry but... " Neither kind nor very professional... or maybe too busy... Anyway thanks again !

Clavia does not own ddrum anymore. They sold ddrum to Armadillo in America ages ago.
