Hello there everyone, i just bought a used Ddrum 4 SE module and here is my question, the person i bought it from sent me all the Ddrum files in Midi format, and i have the M-Audio software, but for some strange reason, i try to open them up in Quicktime on my iMac and i'm not able to hear them while i'm trying to open them up, does anyone know why i'm not able to hear the sounds first so i can pick and choose witch one i wanna use from all the Ddrum sound libarys? or do i have to upload them first useing the Ddrum exe Tool on the Ddrum 4 SE Disc, so i can hear them then make my drum kits, please help me figure this out, thanks, (JACE)

You can open any of the ddrum4 sound samples directly with the ddrum4 tool that comes on the sample cd . Once you open any sound with the ddrum tool just click on it to select it and click the listen box on the the tool window and you can hear what the samples sound like . I haven't ever used Quicktime to check sound samples out so this is always the way I've done it when just looking for other sounds to load into my modules .

Hello again, thanks that worked well i can hear all the sounds, but now i need step by step instuctions on how to load the sounds from my Imac computer haveing a very hard time doing so, i just want this to be abale to work, i have a Mac OS X verison 10.5.8 with a Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, when i try to send the sounds from the Ddrum tool exe, there is a count down on the window but not on the module, what setting does the module have to be on to read the files being sent from my Mac, or do i just plug in the M-Audio cable without loading the cd software, really not sure what to do from here, its saying i dont need to load the driver because its compliant, but i've tried that and it didnt work at all, and i have the module in Pal, still no count down, what can i do to fix this, please help me, waiting for your reply, (JACE)

The uploader only works on PC, there was no Mac version of the software. But if you got the tool working on your Mac somehow. The instructions for uploading sounds to the module should be in the manual. Basically you use the tool to select what sounds you want to upload then via midi upload to the module itself. Be forewarned that you need enough available memory on the module to do the uploads so you might have to delete sounds from the module first and do a memory check to see how much space you have available

I have an iMac running 10.6.8 and I use a program called SySex Librarian made by Snoize. It works really smooth to dump sounds to the DDrum 4. The only issue at all that I've found using this program is that you cannot preview the sounds before you dump them to the DDrum brain. I don't see this as a problem at all because for me, I have to play on the sounds to tell whether I like them or not. Here's the link for the Snoize site. www.snoize.com/SysExLibrarian/
