Hi all, i'm new here as i have just got hold of DDRUM 4 module. How do I rack mount the DDRUM4 and do I need a 4 channel DI box for live gigs? I am using DDRUM pro triggers on a 1960's Ludwig downbeat kit. I am after taking a feed out from the outputs to the engineer but as the outputs are not ballanced is this an issue?

Hi, welcome to the forum! Weirdly enough I just answered a question similar to this. It can be found here: unofficially-ddrum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=technical&action=display&thread=258 but to answer your specific question: How many channels you need would probably differ from soundguy to the next. A good soundguy should have a few DI-boxes within their gear, but of course they will appreciate a proffesional drummer bringing his own gear. If you play a small venue with the mixer sitting at the side of the stage, you could get away with unbalanced leads. Behringer makes pretty cheap rackmount DI-boxes, 4 channel I think. When it comes to rack ears for ddrum4, Sam is your go-to-guy
