DDrum 4 Technical Specs

Looking for info pertaining to the inner workings of DDrum 4. For example, how much ram, sample size, bit rate of sample, how many velocity layers per sound. What processor does the unit have. Does the module run Lynx or special DDrum OS. More of the nuts and bolts, the technical stuff that would interest the inner nerd. Thanks for any replies.

I think the RAM is 8MB, check the manual out, it's in a section here at the forum. The stock samples are compressed (that is data-compression) which makes samples a lot smaller. Bit rate!? Well a simple calculation gives me 705,6kbps (mono wav at 44,1kHz, 16bits). Velocity layers are 8 max.
It has 2 Motorola DSP56002 24-bit DSP's. If you want to read up on them:

Did someone ever tried to change 8 MB Ram for a higher one?(maybe 16 MB)
