Right from Page 24 of the 1.5 user manual . The following info. lets you reset everything , just the system settings , or just the palette settings .
F.--, F.AL, F.SY, F.PA, F. 1 - F.26
This function allows you to initialize different settings in the ddrum4 SE to the factory defaults. The possibilities are the same as described above for the MIDI System Exclusive dump.
Hold SHIFT and press EXIT to initialize the desired option to the factory settings. The DISPLAY will show an āLā. during the initialization. The ā--ā option acts as a safeguard to prevent accidental initialization.

What areas are reset in the systems settings? IE: triggering? Also for the palette, what is effected? Thanks. The " F " stands for Factory and the letters or numbers on the examples above to the right of the F pertain to what you want to reset . Clavia made it so you can select only certain areas to reset on the module , or do a full reset to all the settings as well . If you're wanting to reset everything within the module to the orignial factory settings just select F.AL . This will reset all the settings within the module to their original defaults . Here's a useful key for what each reset does : F.AL = This will restore all settings within the ddrum4 module to factory defaults F.SY = This will restore all of the system settings only to the factory defaults F.PA = This will restore all of the Palette settings only to the factory defaults F. 1 - F.26 = This will restore just the selected factory kit ( 1-26 ) back to its factory defaults sam(otacon28)

The sound module is completely empty The only meaning to restore the sounds is through the "Drum 4 SE tool" software ? I hope, someone could help me i've no more sounds in my sound module regards No the factory reset's only restore all of the settings within the ddrum4 modules . The only way sounds can be restored is through uploading them back into the dddrum module using the ddrum tool and a midi interface . Sounds can't be deleted through factory resetting the module , so they must have been deleted in some other way . You manually have to mark and then delete sounds when you remove them from the module . I have referred the M-Audio UNO interface to alot of ddrum user's and no one had any problems with uploading sounds back into the module using one of them . You can find the UNO at a good bit of retailers and music stores and also alot of places online as well . I posted a step by step tutorial on how to upload the sound samples into the ddrum4 module using the UNO interface and you can see it by clicking on the link below : unofficially-ddrum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sampleuploading&action=display&thread=11^ It is also posted as the first category on the main page of the forum under the Sounds , Manuals , Literature & General Info. I don"t understand why I loose every sounds... thx for you help Regards When you factory all reset the module it returns everything back to its original settings and sets the module also to recognize all the original sounds installed on the 1.5 OS . If there is a sound in one of the default kits that is no longer in the ddrum4 module the led screen will blink alerting you that the sound that was assigned for that channel on that preset drumkit is no longer within the module's library and needs to be reloaded . This is a pretty common thing when people remove sounds from these module's . When the ddrum4 module is reset to the original settings it takes everything back to what is was set up like when it shipped from the factory and recognizes all of the original loaded samples only that were loaded into it when it was new . Basically it takes everything back to the factory defaults . When you try any kits and see the led blinking . Press your sound button on the module and try to select any other sound in the module for that channel . If you still have other sounds in your module at all you will be able to access all of them . sam(otacon28)

... i can't fint the Fall to reset everything and bring back the factory settings. Can you help me please? Here is a picture from the manual of the setting that needs to be updated (F.AL). Once F.AL has been selected, choose Shift/Exit to effect the reset. It seems you may also be missing the actual sounds which will need to be loaded back into the module via MIDI. As described in this thread the reset only affects settings and not the actual sound files. Hope this helps! Cheers! Ken
