Well I don't own a PC, and I need to download samples off the library cd into the module. Is there a way to do this with my mac?
Also, I can't hear the sound files on my mac either, to see which ones I actually want to download because they are all in midi format. Am I going to have to borrow a pc?

the sound files are packed as MIDI files. Any sequencer capable sending MIDI files as they are should do the job. I am on windows so I don't know if there is any way of listening to the proprietary sound files on Mac. I would guess it's not possible, but don't know for sure. I would suggest getting an old PC laptop on ebay. It doesn't have to be powerful at all. Should cost about nothing. I did it vice versa and got myself an old Mac powerbook for shooting sounds into the ddrum3 via SCSI :-)

Hello Drummers!
I have the same problem with loading sounds on my new mac. In a few days i will get pro tools 9 for my new iMac. Can i open the sounds with pro tools? Where can i save them? Can i transfer them into the ddrum4 SE?
Thank you for your answers ddrummer from Germany

In addition to Wine (great recommendation, btw!) you can use Mac software like Sysex Librarian to transfer files to and from your DD4/SE module.
