I'm getting this error message when trying to load cymbals using Midi-Ox: SysEx:No buffers available. There is not enough memory available for this task. Quit one or more applications to increase available memory, and then try again. So it loads most of the file but the on playback, the sound is cut off before the decay is done. It seems that it only does this on larger fe Sure wish I could get the Ddrum4 Tool to work without freezing.

I think the Midi-Ox issue is this; The ddrum4 block size is 1174 bytes. Try that. Midi-Ox is old and surely is not consuming much resource. I would like to determine the issue with ddrum4tool because it is the simplest solution for Windows and was created when Window98 was current so uses basic Windows primitives of the day which I have not seen yet cause trouble. Could you provide some snapshots of your ddrum4tool configuration?

What other Ddrum4 Tool configuration info is there? Also fixed the buffer problem, it was at the default of 256, but still getting the same error message. Edit: wow those are some crappy pics

Interesting. Now two different programs are having similar issues with the MIDI USB device. Seems rather suspicious. What kind of device is this? Have you used it successfully before in other scenarios?

No, I just got the thing. Another Amazon winner. It's a Lekato USB interface. It had good reviews on their site. Looks like I'll have to order the M Audio instead. I set the output buffer in MidiOx to 64 and 2. It's really slow but it loads the whole file

Maybe that's the reason for the Ddrum4 Tool not working?

Well, certainly a possibility, but could not say for sure. Without having other hardware to test with it's kind of guess work. Are there any driver settings to tweak (if there is a driver)?
