Hello
I made a beta optical hi hat controller , i don't have oryginal to compare but it works great (better than FSR controller in Roland drums). If somebody interest i will make PCB board / wiring diagram and model for 3d printer.

be patient - new version coming soon !! , also roland FD8 converter and more (FSR sensor).... Did this ever get completed? Over the last few months, I've revived my old dd4se, changed all jacks (plastic had gotten brittle over the last 20y...lol), installed mesh heads, and strapped RedShot triggers onto my RP-1000s (original ddrum triggers WILL NOT fit on Radial Pro drums). Also added a couple trigger tubes and a dual zone mesh pad for a side snare. Added Zildjian (Gen 16 and L80) and Wuhan ORA LV cymbals. FYI...the ORA cymbals are NOT REALLY low volume (even though that's how they're advertized), but the sound of the ride is much better than the Gen16. I'm in the process of reviving my Gen16 DCP setup, but would love to add a digi hi-hat to my ddrum4se setup. Really never liked the sound of the Gen16 hats.
