Hello all, new to Ddrums but had a 2Box when they first entered the market. I'm from New Zealand. My Ddrum4 se cymbal doesn't seem to be crashing properly. It sounds but other times only plays a part of the sound as if it's been choked. I had to do a factory reset when I got the Ddrum all is working as it should just that crash cymbal..any thoughts?? maybe an adjustment somewhere I missed. Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forum!
I've seen others have this problem too. You can find threads about it here on the forum. However, I have never come across any absolute solution. Choking with ddrum works by slightly bending the piezo using pressure. Make sure that the cymbal is not defective. There should for example be rubber inlays between the cast portion of the cymbalpad and the red flat metal. Also, the two screws holding it together should have rubber washers too. Maybe loosening the screws that hold the cymbal together a little bit could affect it?

Greetings!
This may seem obvious, but have you moved the pad to another cable and input channel to isolate the issue to just the pad? If not, try that, and also if you plug into the perc channel there is no pressure sensitive so you can see if the behavior changes. I purchased a faulty cymbal pad a while back and disassembly revealed that the piezo had come loose and needed to be re-glued to the plate.
Good luck!
Ken
