Can someone please post the SCSI DUMP Utility which was on the DDrum3 Best Service CD. This utility is a necessity for anyone on a Macintosh who wants to transfer the samples this forum has provided to and from their DDrum3's. Thanks in advance.

I'll look in my other folders on my PC and see if I have a file of the SCSI Dump tool for the dd3 . The folder I had with my cd didn't have the tool in it . And the tool that I have is on my Powerbook laptop itself that isn't connected to the internet . I'll see if I can copy it off of my other Laptop though .

Thanks for your help. The version which I had only worked on Macs running System 7. Unfortunately my trusty MAC IICX finally died and now I need some help to get me back up and running. Thanks again!

Hey Sam, Lite came through and sent me the dump tool. Now the bad news....... it is a "Classic " program which leads me to believe that this is the original version of the program. A classic program will only work on very early macs. I have a MacG3 333MHZ and it will not even load. Off the top of my head , I think the Best Service CD came with SCSI DUMP TOOL 1.17. The version which I used successfully for 14 years on my Mac 11CX was 1.05, or something like that. I'll firm that up tomorrow when I get to my studio. I think the version you are currently using on your laptop is the most recent version.....Can you check out which version it is and pass that info along.....
Many thanks

Many thanks I believe the one on my laptop is the non-classic version that runs on OS9 and earlier . I'll have to check out the file , but it is running on a Powerbook G3 wallstreet laptop , so this sounds like it may be the version you're looking for . I just have to figure out how to get a copy of the file off of the G3 . I'm more of a windows user , so I'm learning a little about apple as I go with the laptop synched to my dd3 . sam(otacon28)

I think there are several versions floating around out there! Sorry I got totally sidetracked with alot of recording that I've been doing lately for my CD that's coming out soon , and totally forgot to check my laptop . I'll check it out later today , and let you know what version mine is . Also if anyone has a good idea on how to transfer the file off of my G3 Powerbook I'll gladly upload the SCSI utility that I have . I don't think the laptop has a cd writer I think it's just a regular cd drive , but I will check to be sure . sam(otacon28)

AFAIK there was no tool running on current Macs (but I could be wrong. Just never heard of it). The latest OS it runs on is OS 9.2.2. That's the one I've installed on a G3 Lombard Powerbook (the only powerbook having SCSI + USB, makes it easier for me to connect to the rest of the world for sound transfer - especially 'cause I am on windows).
As soon as I have access to my ddrum3 and powerbook I'll check the version. But that won't be before the middle of the week.
