Alright so I have a DDRUM 4SE and I own a M-Audio Midisport Uno as well. I want to create my own samples and download them onto the DDRUM 4SE. The samples I want to use are .WAV files. I converted the .WAV file to a .MID file and opened it in the DDrum4tool software however, it's reading a block size of (0) and there is no audio when I click "listen".
I know that all of the samples available from Clavia are .MID files so I figured all I needed to do was convert my .WAV file to .MID. I know there has to be a way to do this. I have some great samples I'd like to use on the DDRUM without having to run it through my computer to trigger the sounds. PLEASE HELP!!!!
Thank you

Please read page 31 of the manual. Do you have the manual? Also check out this thread: unofficially-ddrum.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=ddrum3&thread=170&page=1 The thread is about ddrum3, but the preparation of samples are the same.

Great thread. I have learned quite a bit about my ddrum4 brain and loading sounds. I was successful in my second attempt at loading sounds via a PC. I had problems loading from my MacBook Pro the first go round. Anyway, I am struck by the lack of memory space. Is it possible to increase the memory of the ddrum4 brain?

Not that I know of. I have never heard of anyone who did that, but be aware that the ddrum4 data-compresses the files automatically.

Hey gang, I have a Mac, but tried using an older Windows XP laptop to load sounds. It didn't work. I'm using a generic Midi cable from Amazon. I see the lights indicating it's connecting, but I'm getting nothing on the DDrum4 module. I spent hours trying to make this work. Cable is installed correctly, I'm using the ddrum Tool correctly, I can hear listen to the sounds in the program. I'm wondering if I need a specific driver for the cable? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know that last version of Windows that would be compatible with the Ddrum Tools? Mine keeps going into a Not Responding state after I try to send on both Windows 7 and Windows 10 platforms. Also, could a crappy interface cause an Err reading on the module?

Hi If the ddrum tool doesn't work, you can use a daw like Reaper for sending the files to the dd4. Set i/o hardware for the channel to your midi device.
